Job summary
The Senior Scrum Master works directly with Agile Delivery Teams to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of work. This role will report into the Global IT Apps Delivery Manager and will oversee Scrum Master activity overall, manage the sprints from a planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups and retrospectives points of view, while facilitating the growth of an Agile culture. The Scrum Master will be responsible for tracking and measuring delivery and reporting to stakeholders a variety of sprint and delivery metrics.
Main responsibilities
- Drive scrum ceremonies, including, scheduling and facilitating daily stand-ups, manage the product backlog, guide the team through backlog grooming, lead sprint retrospectives and work on eliminating impediments.
- Coach and lead Agile Scrum practices to Delivery teams, promoting a delivery mindset and a focus on “fast shipping”, Planning Deliverables, Helping Teams & Monitor Performance.
- Develop an understanding of the products, capabilities, and business to help drive better delivery of value.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to acceptance into an iteration/sprint.
- Build solid relationships with Global IT, Business Leads and (if applicable) with external suppliers, to ensure alignment of delivery.
- Produce Agile metrics and reports for Delivery Teams and for Stakeholders, nurturing a data-driven culture.
- Promote Agile principles through active participation in Majorel’s Agile Communities of Practice and build a culture of continuous improvement. Create an environment of trust within Delivery teams.
Educational Background:
- College degree or equivalent, computer science degree ideal but not mandatory; Scrum Master/Agile certification.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an Agile software environment with a minimum of two years as a hands-on Scrum Master.
Technical Skills: (knowledge, experiences, IT tools/software, languages)
- Strong knowledge of DevOps methodology and good knowledge of an Agile Project Management Tool (Azure DevOps, JIRA…), preferably Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of CX industry and experience with working/managing alongside of development teams.
- Experience in working with/coordinating external service provider delivery teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience in work with the Data Lake.
- Understanding of BI reporting tools.
- Experience with UX/UI design implementations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with high level of critical thinking;
- confidence in communicating and working with a varied stakeholder group, including senior stakeholders; ability to build trust across teams.
- The ability to work for several projects (existing and new) at the same time.
- Ability to learn and be onboarded quickly.
- Experience working in a large company (corporation) where there are different systems integrated.
