Job Summary
Network Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting Majorel's technology transition to the cloud. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure, focusing mainly on AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure and GCP.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions
- Drive all technical design and execution activities for moving existing on-premise network infrastructure to the cloud IaaS and PaaS.
- Identify appropriate cloud providers
- Active collaboration to follow company strategy « Cloud First »
- Ensuring the cloud network is responsive to user demands
- Develop networking solutions for IaaS/SaaS/PaaS applications that reside in private cloud, public cloud or both.
- Design and deploy network solutions for integrated on-prem application functions with cloud application functions.
- Provide leadership and coaching for deployment teams and network operations
- Scaling cloud services to serve growing businesses
- Monitoring usage of cloud network
- Implementing effective security strategies on cloud networks
- Produce professional diagrams and documentation for networks and operational standard methodologies, standards, policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
- Participate in analysis of technology vendors, including risk assessment due diligence
- Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
- Investigates new technologies, creating prototypes and proofs of concept
- Ensure quality compliance including security. Following Majorel IT security standard
- Circulate and distribute information to the regional contacts/ customer and Global management
- Contact persons of our customers for technical questions
- Comply with the ratios/objectives established in the service (KPI, SLA, SolveIT)
Additional task can be assigned at any time.
Competencies and professional background
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business IT / Computer Studies or Engineering & Management or similar education
- 3+ years of proven work experience of Design, Deploy and manage enterprise class public cloud connectivity solutions leveraging Azure, and AWS cloud network services
- 3+ years of Strong Enterprise networking with Routing/Switching configuration/diagnostic experience in Global Network infrastructure design delivery of WAN, LAN, and Firewall
Professional Skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience in building, interconnecting and supporting networks into AWS Regions and Availability Zones. Including working knowledge and hands-on experience of VPC,AWS Transit VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Vnet, ExpressRoute methodologies.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networks, i.e. Campus LAN/WLAN, MPLS WAN, SD-WAN, DC Architectures, Remote Access ServicesVPN's, DNS, load balancing & firewalls and BGP.
- Must have multi-vendor knowledge, including Fortigate, Palo Alto, Cisco
- Knowledge on network and host security groups for technical and security analysis using native cloud tools.
- Diagnose and resolve routing and interconnectivity issues
- Social competence and pronounced communication skills
- Independent working style and high commitment
